SUBMERSIBLE MEMBRANE MODULES FOR BIO-CEL BIOREACTORS

The experience accumulated during last years in MBR installations has allowed the evolution of traditional hollow fiber and flat framed membrane technologies into BIO-CEL laminated membranes, combining the advantages of both technologies and enabling significant advances in fundamental aspects such as energy saving, maintenance and operation.

Advantages:

· Ultrafiltration. Total solid and bacteria retention.
· Optimum performance at all biomass concentration ranges.
· Non-frame configuration, which makes sludge deposits and braiding impossible, minimizing investment costs.
· Counter washing with pressure is possible, with permeate and reactive dosage.
· Fine bubble aeration, which reduces the installation of the aeration process and so, energy consumption.
· Mechanical cleaning process (MCP) is possible. Reactive are eliminated.
· Membranes made of polietersulfone (PES), with great mechanical stability which extends their lifespan.


ECOTEC has pilot plants with different configurations, in order to be able to carry out test on site.
