Biofiltration was the first step in the technological development for the biological treatment of gases. ECOTEC has designed several biofilters since the year 2000. The majority of these are still in operation and are performing excellently, reducing energy consumption and maintenance costs.
Biofilters can also be installed in series as a refining treatment subsequent to a scrubber or biotrickling in applications with high pollutant concentrations.
