ECOTEC is currently delivering over 12.000 m2 of GRP covers for one of the world's biggest waste water treatment plants located in Cairo District.
Project requirements were special, and covers were particularly designed and calculated for high overloads, high seismic risk requirements and a wide temperature range of -30 °C to +100 °C. Also, 3D structural finite element software for modelling and simulation on the design were mandatory.
The scope of supply includes covers for 18 gravity thickeners of 29 meters diameter each, plus two distribution chambers and two thickened sludge pumping stations.
Given the nature of the project and the short delivery time requirements, ECOTEC's production capacity and quality standards were essential for the proper execution of the job.
