The Galindo Wastewater Treatment Plant (WWTP) serves a population of approximately 1,500,000 inhabitants, covering the metropolitan area of Bilbao and its surroundings.

As part of the renovation and enhancement project for primary treatment, ECOTEC has carried out a major intervention that includes:

  • The installation of a total volume of 4,836 m³ of tubSed® TS.85 lamellar modules in PP, distributed across 16 tanks with a surface area of 4.09 x 57.6 m. 
  • These modules are supported by a GRP structure specifically designed to ensure the durability and efficiency of the system.
  • Incorporation of 16 Finnchain type C scrapers, which ensure effective collection of settled sludge.

 

 

This intervention is part of an ambitious modernization plan aimed at increasing the capacity of primary treatment, especially during episodes of heavy rainfall.

This reference, in the number 1 plant in the Basque Country and the sixth in Spain, consolidates ECOTEC as a leading supplier of turnkey solutions for lamellar settling systems.
